ContractorCover, insurance for Professional Independent Contractors
From Business Analysts to HR, IT to Strategists we've got your liability insurance programme covered.
Eyes here for the official stuff
ContractorCover is an Insurance Scheme for Independent Contractors.
We have selected to work with TAI, Lloyds of London and put together a liability programme available through this website created to give you the fundamental insurances that most client's / agencies ask you to obtain
- With a super short e-form application
- Transparent Premiums
- For most applicant's, you can go from quote to policy in 24 hours
- Low premiums (negotiated as a result of volume and low touch administration costs)
- A+ rated Lloyds Insurer
ContractorCover is not a quote comparison service.
We are not recommending an insurance policy for you. We are providing general information on the policies available from the Insurer who is underwriting this platform.
ContractorCover has been rated on volume which is leveraged to achieve a lower premium and cover that is similar or better than (not less than) the cover available on the New Zealand market - excluding CFC Underwriters who have a fantastic Tech product but is more geared towards Tech companies vs Individual IT Contractors and is priced accordingly)
We are not providing a personalised financial advice service to you, we can, should you request it and usually Contractors come to us to increase policy limits, get cover for working overseas, or to check the insurance and indemnity clauses on new contracts against their current policy and we are available in that regard to assist.
Please also take note of the “Official Stuff” noted on the application form. This is our Disclosure to you in providing access to ContractorCover.
Stuff that is useful to know
ContractorCover is Underwritten by Lloyds of London via TAI, a division of IWL.
This security is APRA Approved, and enjoys an A+ rating from Standard and Poor’s.
i2i Brokers provide this service with a $130 plus GST fee which is itemised separately on your quote/invoice. No other forms of remuneration are collected or provided by i2i Brokers.
The policy wordings are issued to you at the same time as your quote for cover and should be read in conjunction with your Liability quote.
While the world of insurance is far more interesting than you think, should you get bored, confused or put to sleep trying to decipher the ins and outs of the policy wordings or have any questions about them (apart from how to avoid reading them) please holler out. The site is free from chat bots so rest assured any answers will not be auto generated.
Annual Combined Liability Programme
The Annual ContractorCover programme combines individual coverage for Professional Indemnity (PI) and General/Public Liability (PL) plus Statutory Cover (SL) in a comfy bundle to independent professional consultants and a Technology Specific combined liability programme for Contractors providing IT Services and/or IT Products.
Whether you are a sole trader or a LLC with no more than four of you in the mix , ContractorCover could be just what you need.
Not only does the programme take care of the Professional Indemnity, Public Liability and Statutory Liability cover you need to tick the box for most contracts you come across with agencies or clients - you also have the option to add Cyber Cover to compliment your liability protection and coming soon in 2022, AuditCover (for when the IRD draws out your name for one of their 'random audits')
Please note there are some occupations that we can not write within this scheme:
Those exceptions are:
